Should be an automatic deportation...personal beliefs aside, going to another country with out proper steps being followed then breaking the laws of said country should be an immediate deportation. In any other country if a non citizen commits their equivalent of a felony the person usually gets the book thrown at them accompanied by a ban from returning...not in America though, here you get treated like an infant who just spilled the milk and blamed the dog
