I hope Mike Bannister is charging them a fortune for his commentary.

No-where near as elegant and beautiful as as the British/French or French/British Concorde.

XB-1 vs Overture vs Concorde (for everyone who is hating on the XB-1)

The XB-1 is a prototype subscale model. The Overture is the full-scale commercial model that isn't physically existent yet. The Overture looks like a modernized Concorde, so it isn't any less stylish.

The Overture is designed to be quieter than the Concorde. The Concorde's loudness played a big part in its downfall.

The Overture is designed to be more reliable and economically available. The Concorde was an extremely expensive plane to fly on that made airlines little to no profit.

Commercial aircraft manufacturers tend to lean towards safety, technology, and passenger count, not speed, so be grateful that the XB-1 exists.

I bet they don't have a problem with the sonic boom on this one! Only when it's a foreign aircraft!

Now tell us what tech they used to get through the van Halen belt. These guys are just reinventing the wheel 🤷🤦

Wow, they managed to replicate science from the 60s. But in a smaller package without any style.

To achieve tbe specs set for the American SST of Mach3 would have required a jet not unlike the SR71, with titanium, not aluminium body, and leaky fuel system to allow for expansion.
If the new specs are downgraded to Mach2, it is just a new version of Concorde but built with 2020s tech instead of pioneerig 1960s tech.

Hahaha the fastest way to separate gullible investors from their money. This. Will. Never. Happen.

What are those V speeds?!?! That thing definitely can't scale unless it can fly a LOT slower to land. Unless it's just a supersonic private jet for the ultra wealthy and isn't ever intended for the "poors" to use... Which seems really obvious now that I typed it...

So... someone has achieved in America what was achieved in Europe 60 years ago. Except that in Europe it went Mach 2.

Jeez, talk about trying to re-write the history books again.
