Thanks for sharing this... I am gonna do some of these with my nieces and nephews. I try to do some kind of craft with them once every six weeks or so. I make time for them so they can have fun with me and it helps them learn. Their mother homeschools them, so I do this to help add extra funs in their lives. Although their mom does a wonderful job teaching them and doing activities with them as well. It is my way of helping to give her a break and set back and enjoy it with the kids if she wants.

Awesome ideas..another idea that they might like. Is get a bunch of salt, and food coloring. Add a couple of drops of food coloring to the salt and make different colors and let them put in jars with a funnel -and that is sand/salt art

You know what, I love the paint kit idea best because the creations also make good gifts for Grandparents and such. Kids can be proud of what they created AND you don't need to have so many of their art installations all over your house ;)

Love these ideas! Genuinely helpful. I'm at home with three kids in the UK and one week in - we are already climbing the walls! I know you have mentioned on your podcasts that you don't get out much, and I am exactly the same. My kids all have Asperger's and ADHD, so going out without another adult to help is not often possible as they are just all over the place. I was wondering how often you manage to get out during the summer with the kids?
