Simple c. 1994 Otis series 1 Hydraulic Elevator @ GMU Johnson Center Fairfax VA

(9-15-2016) On this elevator, I did not like the fan; it almost overpowered the motor. Seven elevators are located in George Mason University's Johnson Center. All GMU JC elevators used to be Otis Series 1. George Mason modernized the four main elevators over two semesters at the Johnson Center in 2014. Two publicly accessible elevators (one at the library and another at the bookstore) remain series 1. Both are simple and serve two floors. A map reveals a seventh service elevator for food service and not accessible to the public.
