The final departure of the ADF from Afghanistan

On Friday 18 June 2021 the final six Australian Defence Force personnel from Task Group Afghanistan lifted off from Hamid Karzai International Airport, Kabul. The departure of the Air Task Group 630 C-130J Hercules aircraft marked the completion of the ADF's withdrawal from Afghanistan.

My mate lost his life, some others lost their souls, a lot lost their families.
First they fought for decent pay, 26000 signed a petition over night disappointed the government seen them as low income earners.

Multiple times the media painted them as racists, trialled for war crimes, investigated for not being civil in an uncivilised environment. Punished for using the tools in which they where trained.
Well now they are all home. Soon they will all realise how toxic and corrupt their government has become. How weak and unappreciative and selfish their communities now are. What happens when these band of brothers realise the very ideals that they went to protect became the same they sought to destroy?

The ones commenting “what did we accomplished” are the ones who disregard the work our men and women put in to ensure stability. Don’t ever assume we went there to accomplish a goal. Our forces went there to work, they did that and now we thankfully welcome them back home with open arms. Enough with the war rhetoric let’s give thanks, remember and allow the much needed exhale of that long winded engagement.
