Do your best to be creative with structure (with your kid). Find ways to include him in the process. Even adults dislike being made to do things they don't want to do but may be necessary or beneficial. However injecting fun, creativity and a sense of responsibility/ownership may help. My son is now 29 (I'm 49), we have a great relationship and I feel it is because I was firm but flexible with him. I was open and listened to him. I have studied Early childhood and primary education. I worked in a daycare, after school programs and with adjudicated youth. We all want to feel heard, understood and as if we have choices. There is no one correct way to raise a child and you can only do what you know. But I think you will do great. 😊 I also think you did well on recreating the outfits. I use Pinterest for inspiration all the time.

Hi Kelley. I hope you don’t take this the wrong way. I just found your channel and I heard you talking about your sweet son. He sounds like my 10-year-old. Every night my husband puts him into bed. I have a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old With high functioning autism. I started seeing the signs with my 10-year-old with rigid routines that we had to follow or he had a meltdown. Including Dad, putting him to bed and all of the steps that had to be taken in order for him to sleep well and not disrupt him. I don’t know how old your son is. But you might want to just document on a daily basis what happens with feeding time with routines with changing in schedule with such at school etc. I don’t want to you but the fact that you shared this and commented with your friends on the phone that was in the airport about being a mom… That is absolutely me! You will absolutely need an outlet to vent. I have four raising from 25 to 10. My oldest is a daughter and she is also getting tested this summer for autism… If you want to reach out, it’s just a comment. Hearing another Mom struggling and behaviors can be linked to ADHD etc. If I could save you a headache, I want to share. But I do not want to overstep or make you feel bad. great outfits! what inseam is your jeans in the first outfit? asking because the everlane 29" inseam is sold out in my size but they still do have the 27" inseam available. im 5.7".
