Chemical and scrub free oven cleaning: make a paste of lemon juice and baking soda. Spread over oven, door, glass, stove top, and under stove top. Wait for paste to almost dry. Wipe away paste with damp cloth. It works without chemicals. I can't use oven cleaners because they irritate my eyes and respiratory system.

If you don't have any oven cleaner and don't want to use chemicals. I have used vinegar in a spray bottle and had great results. Just thought I'd add another option. Thanks for teaching us things. I put my trash bag in the correct way this morning because of your video I saw.

I clean my oven after each use! I use a non scratch kitchen cleansing pad, with a tad of dish soap/bleach!! Dear heart, you have a plethora of useful tips, thank you for sharing the knowledge!!!!

I use Easy Off, its great especially if I spray atleave it overnight . But I always put old rags or sheets around the floor next to the oven, as the grime always runs down to the floor

For several years, I have been using The Dollar Tree oven cleaner. It is amazing! It works amazing, my oven gets all clean!
The best thing is it is a tall can, I only have to use half a can each time I clean my oven 😀

keep in mind the spray on chemical cleaner can ruin self cleaning ovens. Mix a paste of baking soda and vinegar, take a damp paper towel and scrub, clean excess with another paper towel and it wipes clean.

It smells terrible. It does work, but I can't stand this smell. Don't use it if you have parrots in the house. They used to make Easy Off that you could brush on, it came in a glass jar. It worked very well, and you didn't have those fumes circulating through the house.

Good suggestion but I simply use the “clean” feature of my oven twice a month (weekly if I’m cooking a lot). Most ovens come with this feature, so use it! I wipe it down with a soapy sponge and rinse afterwards when it’s cooled off to remove any ash, then I return my foil liner to the bottom and it’s good to go - simple. Self discipline is the only hard part.

PS - I do use Easy Off too…about once a year (after the holidays) just to get a deep clean after I’ve really worked the poor thing half to death! LOL
