I pity anyone without your skill level starting this install and finding these issues. You can make things work, most people like me would be Thanks again for your videos.

Those end parts were proper crap, you've managed to turn them into something usable, but blimey that's a lot of fannying around!.... Should have binned them.
Capping has come out very neat indeed 👌
Redditch Shotblasting for powdercoating👍🏻

Love your attention to detail Nige, Well worth the effort to get a top quality finish that should come as standard but with Land rover parts it never does....

Your attention to detail is admirable and does look stock, shame you were unlucky it didn't fit, over the years I've fitted two and they both fitted luckily, I guess the factory that makes them had batch problems or different staff doing it or something.
I mean they are very cheap so I guess you need to know you have another one on standby that does fit, or ask to measure it in the box, I'm sure they would let you.
Great Video, thanks

I had one of these on order, but after seeing this video have decided against it and ordered a partial bulk head removal bar, less faff hopefully

The tub rails came out really nice. Looks like it came that way. I wouldn't worry about getting the powdercoat off. Every coater I've been to has their own sand blast booth. A quality shop will want to clean the parts as it ensures a quality, long lasting finish. Parts don't come back if you do them right the first time.

I bought a NAS rear step from a company that shall remain nameless, (they are named after a place and tribe in Kenya) It was an absolute nightmare to fit, I had to buy some bolts as the ones supplied were hopeless, whilst fixing it, I found out the instructions were exactly the same ones for the Britpart step, but with the name removed, anyway, after 6 months it started to corrode badly, the powder coating was falling off, the retailer couldn’t have cared less, I’d have never have knowingly bought anything from Britpart. I’ve removed it now, ready to sand and paint with QDR.

Hi Nigel, the best thing you have done is inc "britpart bulkhead" in the title. If i am buying anything i always look on youtube for mentions etc, its a bit hit and miss. Hope lots will see this and the word gets out.i would of thought this is a limited sales item, could be no sales now!

Well Nigel, if you are going to get the bars re powder coated, remember that it doesn’t have to be black again. You have endless colour options. Good luck!

In my eye's the Britpart Bulkhead bar is a Pattern Part of another Pattern Part - times 4, not the original master part - it would go a long way to explain why it's so far out.

Have you by any chance considered installing the Bearmach removal bar? Do you know if it has more quality? The two vertical Bearmach bars are 2 pieces. Doesn't this compromise the structural integrity?

I will not buy anything Britpart that requires any degree of accuracy & particularly mechanical components. They don’t deserve your custom.
