Ridgid R4550 Table Saw Feature Overview

That little piece that flips down over the bigger fence is a secondary fence for doing super thin cuts. Thats a terrific saw btw

I am considering this saw but was curious to ask since you have had the saw for some time, how is the dust collection? I've been looking at the dealt and it seems that where the blade is, that compartment is completely sealed so would imaging dust collection is great. With the good price currently on the Rigid R4550, was curious to hear what you have experienced on that.

I was about to pull the trigger on the older model R4514 since it's on sale for $400. This newer model is currently $500. The gear driven fence is the primary reason I'm considering this R4550. Did you check all the angles to see how square and true the table is, blade (0 and 45 degrees), fence, etc? Thank you!

Do you know if the rip fence can be attached to the Ridgid R4514 model? I have the R4514 and the fence on it is terrible. tia

My delta table saw gives up on me
Then I went to Home Depot and find the last one for almost half of the price $279
I think this is the best table saw ridgid made I was thinking to get the Dewalt that cost $549 at the Home Depot

Well I just assembled mine and the heel adjustment is off. No where in the instruction manual is there directions for adjusting heel. Just a mention of it on page 29. I'll figure it out but the point remains.
