This track has a very interesting background. You know I take part in a big project called Jam Track Central, which offers training to guitar players worldwide, and I have been teaching at the site for about eight years. It unites guitar players from all over the world, including two from Russia – me and Sergey Golovin.

The project top manager got an idea of recording an album of rock ballads and releasing it in England. I was invited to join. I was on a tour at the time, but that did not prevent me from writing and orchestrating the track. I finished it at just the right time and even shot a music video.

The video was shot in Rostov-on-Don, after Grigory Leps concert. They had a very beautiful stage and the hall; we set up the lighting and cameras and shot the video. Grigory’s entire team took part in making the video – Max Malyshev playing the drums, with all the other guys helping me do the filming. The outcome wasn’t bad at all.

Everybody who knows him would say so. Feodor Dosumov is a cheerful, and a very gifted musician and an innovative individual. He experiments easily, and in his music seemingly incompatible genres are intermingled: fusion and Central Asian motifs, rock and dubstep and electronic music elements. He is not just a performer but also a very sincere and straight musician, and expresses himself vividly in any piece of music.

His solo performance is a matter for discussion and his playing abounds in technical devices, his shows are outstanding and memorable.

Feodor was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He took up music at 7 what was a mere hobby. His father, Rustam Yangibaevich Dosumov, a professor and Doctor of Economics is a famous and a very respectable expert in Central Asia. His son was supposed to become an economist or a project engineer, but not a musician.
His parents insisted on his studying at the Tashkent University of Information Technology. Feodor abided by their demands and won an admission to the University to become a fiber-optic link engineer. But his great love for music kept him on the hop.

Being just 17 Feodor became the winner of the international rock-festival “Flower children” that was held in Tashkent as the best solo-guitarist. After graduating from the university Feodor moved to Moscow and entered the State Gnessins Music College to learn guitar playing. The next year he conquered the all-Russian competition of young guitarists called “Guitar’s many faces”, where he got the Grand Prix as the beat guitar player. After that he dedicated himself to music only.

An exciting creative period of Feodor’s life began. There were acquaintances and co-projects with jazz stars. During this period he learned much. Feodor played and recorded with such musicians as David Sanborn, Billy Cobham, Eric Marienthal, Damien Schmitt, Michael Shrive, Dave Koz, Hadrien Feraud and Phil Perry. Thanks to them Feodor gained his own playing style and lineaments; his individuality became more outstanding and creative.

New ideas and plans that had to be realized came up. A bass player Anton Davidyants and a drummer Damien Schmitt became his like-minded fellows.

The guys noted each other’s giftedness at the first onset. It became obvious that they had to pool their efforts in common cause. Tours, performances, co-authorship the guys enjoyed each other’s musicianship. The result of this cooperation the album called “Moscow” was appreciated not only in Russia but also abroad. Feodor began to receive invitations from West Europe to give master-classes there. He was proposed to make a course of video-tutorials for a famous English site called “JamTrackCentral”. It’s worth mentioning that while working on the album Feodor got very interested in electronic music. A track “Idea” from “Moscow” album is one of his first creative experiments, where he tried to insert electronic music elements into fusion music. Modern styles are heard more often in his works and arrangements, imparting them with a fresh an exclusive sound.

Today Feodor lives an active creative, studio and tour life.

Это наш Ташкентский мэн! Помню его еще когда он только начинал в группе Краш лет 25 назад если не ошибаюсь. Уже тогда лично мне стало ясно-из этого парня будет толк! Я даже позвал его играть в свою группу и он был готов, но, к сожалению не срослось... Фёдор-наглядный пример того, как благодаря целеустремленности и недюжей трудоспособности плюс таланту конечно же, он добился таких высот, что теперь может не обращать внимание на шипение канализационных червяков! Он просто делает свое дело и надо сказать очень хорошо-превосходно! Его игра доставляет радость, восторг и восхищение, а кто не согласен ну попробуйте повторить ребята-флаг в руки!!! Кто те 22 виртуоза, которые поставили дизлайк??? Досумов - это реально топовый гитарист, который появился в России и сделал что-то действительно новое, технически интересное и своё, все продумано, всё лаконично...! Такими Досумовыми надо гордиться, а не тыкать дизлайки от зависти!

Если, бы не прочёл случайно комент по поводу далёкости от Пейджа или Хендрикса, то может быть и проехал мимо, однако нет. Во - первых серьёзные коменты или сравнения можно давать в тех случаях, когда вы владеете уровнями сравниваемых исполнителей, а то есть: вы играете, как Пейдж, затем дошли до уровня Фёдора Досумова, и вот спустя десяток (как минимум) годков на своём поте и крови поняли: "Да, я был неправ", потому, что вы поняли, какой это долгий путь: добиться того, что мы  с такой легкостью беремся сравнивать или обсуждать, а что ещё хуже - советовать. Возьмите  лучше гитару и сыграйте хотя бы 8 -12 тактов, как Досумов. Я пока таких не встречал, а вот Лестницу играют все, кому не лень. Благодарю за внимание. Написал ввиду глубокого уважения к творчеству Фёдора, и ни в коем случае не ради спора про кому до кого далеко.

Une présentation en... français et de très bonne tenue, c'est assez rare pour être souligné et salué ! Que dire maintenant de ce morceau, du guitariste, du musicien et de son groupe ? Rien que du bien...! En attendant le meilleur... Le niveau technique des guitaristes a énormément progressé ces trente dernières années et nombreux sont les "virtuoses". Il est difficile, dans ces conditions, de faire entendre sa voix et de se frayer un chemin visible. C'est le plus souvent, heureusement, la musicalité qui fait la différence, toujours préférable à la dextérité. Car trop nombreux aussi sont ceux qui cèdent à l'appel insidieux de la démonstration et de la surenchère technique aussi ennuyeuses que vaines, au détriment de la musique, de la mélodie et de l'harmonie. Ces "shredders" sans âme devraient (ré)apprendre les vertus du silence, des silences, au sens musical du terme. La musique n'est pas un concours de vitesse ni de sauts d'obstacles. Feodor Dosumov l'a compris, lui qui a pu sacrifier et sacrifie parfois encore à ces joutes techniques auxquels tous les guitaristes d’aujourd’hui se croient obligés de participer, comme des rites de passage et surtout d'adoubement, nécessaires et suffisants. Or ils ne sont ni nécessaires ni surtout suffisants. Que vaut la maîtrise technique sans l'émotion ? Que vaut la virtuosité sans la musicalité ? La virtuosité devient même suspecte... Aussi, à moins de se considérer comme une bête de foire, se présenter comme un "guitariste" et surtout un "musicien"...suffit largement en soi. Pas besoin d 'en rajouter... La maîtrise technique de Feodor est manifeste : elle s'entend, elle se voit. L’essentiel est qu'elle soit au service de la musique de Monsieur Dosumov, qui seule, au bout compte nous intéresse.
