A crazy policy. Very few parents will pay sufficient tax to cover the cost. Children are better off with their parents not dumped at childcare. Then dumped at school later.

To get people back to work they need incentives like a decent way of life not five minute cities, massive food and power bills, freedom to buy a decent none EV form.of transport.The current form of dictatorship by clueless politicians at central and local.levels is removing any incentive to better themselves for people who work for a living.Dual standards by politicians really doesn't help or convince people.

Wrong. Kids need their mums at home at least until they start school - don't off load your responsibilities. There is nothing more important than that. Increase child allowance for first two kids so mum doesn't have to work. Sliding scale based on income. Nothing for more kids - to stop the freeloaders. If you want to be a parent you put your career on hold simple as that. Could be Dad sure, but biology and evolution mean mums do a better job - just look at the animal kingdom. Nature knows best.

The poor and working class are NOT going to benefit from this budget, you can bet money on it. Childcare is a choice, especially if you live within your means. One parent shpd be at home, caring for and rearing their own child, not palming it off for someone else to do it. People have become too materialistic, and this bizarre obsession with home ownership is baffling. They've become consumerist slaves, they want everything that they are told by advertising, which is to used to distract them.

So let me get this straight....my 20 year old on minimum wage working 60 hours a week has to subsidise a couple on 200k to incentivise them back to work with free childcare?😡
Perhaps they should pay their own bloody childcare and reduce his tax bill to incentivise him to stay in work!. I wouldn't blame young people on low pay to just resign and give up. What an absolute disgrace.

I work in a nursery and can tell you quite simply not going to work. We don’t have the capacity for more children due to a staff shortage and we also make a loss and this is going to make it worse for us financially.
