You can see the engines on Starship gimbal after a few seconds. Really good footage.

This clip is rotated 180 degrees from the original since during the actual flight the booster flipped upwards, gaining altitude prior to boost back. While this shot indicates that is flipped downward

Imagine if they put onboard cameras on the ship like in the first IFT. Would be sick to see hot staging through them

It does not look like they need that much thrust to hot-stage. I can see that they do not want to lose any momentum, so at some point there must be a compromise. Maybe a section of the hot-stage-ring needs to be disposable ?

Why were the three engines on stage 1 still burning when the engines on stage 2 were started up? This does not happen on falcon missions.

The slo-mo really highlights the difficulty the booster had re-lighting it's engines which caused them to terminate it. Thanks for the video. It's is great evidence of the failure of the starship design.

Did hot staging wreck both the 1st stage and 2nd stage? Is the 2nd stage engine shock too much for the 1st stage? Do all the flames vent out of the side, or do some go back up into the 2nd stage?
