I was diagnosed with RA and IHD within two weeks of eachother. Crushing chest pain and severe joint pain. Found whole food plant based diet. No oils!!. List 7 stone, no angina, off al heart meds with doctors blessing. In remission with RA and almost drug free. I watch your podcasts and think your a very smart guy. I am not anti meat....rather just anti bad meat!. I don't eat refined processed foods, which are deadly. If I had no diagnosis I would pay full attention to low(bad carb) diet. One thing is true . We are omnivores and therefore have choices choosing processed food and high omega 6 oils will kill anyone. Eat food, not too much, mainly plants, would in my opinion change the health of any nation. The in fighting of different groups is to me...very unpleasant. I have done 2000+ hours of research into my own health issues and seen patterns. My conclusion is this. I thrive on a whole food vegan diet. Effectively reversing me diseases. For others they may only thrive eating eat in the diet. One size does not fit all! And yes....I supplement in a large way.

See Nutritionfacts.org. You are so right with refined carbs, and the processed foods and alcohol is bad full stop but wrong with the animal products. But there’s another issue, Climate change and the sustainability of intense animal farming with the ever increasing population. Different times Carl.

Vegan, three years now. Whole food plant based. Best thing I’ve ever done. It’s not that difficult as there’s loads of info out there. Dr Greger is a good source of info

Vegan is a bad term, really it is plant based. 10% of diet could be animal products, but really only for B12 and some more amino proteins. That is the best diet for health.
