Keith Haring in Minneapolis | 1984 Walker Residency

Keith Haring was an artist-in-residence at the Walker Art Center in the summer of 1984. During the residency, Haring worked with middle school students from Hopkins, Minnesota to present Art Fest at the Walker. The festival celebrated the completion of a new education center. Former Walker Educator Susan Rotilie reflects on her time working alongside Haring while the artist was in Minneapolis.
