Spirit A320 performing flight from Las Vegas to Baltimore had just landed on runway 28 and was taxiing to the gate when the aircraft skidded off the taxiway becoming disabled on the grass.

I'm staying at a hotel next to the airport for work rn, and yeah, it was real this morning. i almost slid off the road twice on my way to work, but I managed to keep my shitty sedan in check during weather that even planes had trouble with so I feel a little better about my performance.

At about 3:20 I think he actually said “I know you have holdover time...”; I’m a deicer at BWI and that morning was absolutely no joke for us. DL1426 is one of our regular early morning departures that we deice for, and I remember that morning we had to deice every departure because everything that fell overnight and the day before had completely frozen over into a sheet of ice. Driving to work that day was absolutely terrifying to say the least 😅
