Just built this last week. Actually puts out a lot of heat, and if a breeze is blowing, the heat will head in that direction. Had people moving to or away from heat depending on what they preferred! Very relaxing watching the flames dance and flicker. I also used wood for base. DIYPete is correct in protecting from fire danger but the correct type of wood and plenty of space underneath to keep pan cool. This is not wood fired, so no sparks or embers to deal with. Thank again DIYPete.

Pete, you've inspired me to build more projects...but i hate working with concrete. I prefer tiling, what are your thoughts on building tables like this out of tiles?

All of your concrete videos have convinced me to try different materials.

I'm never going to do this - not nearly handy enough - but just wanted to say you did a great job on the video. Nice work.

I know this video is very old, but I have watched several of your videos on concrete counters and tables. Have you ever thought of making a video showing how to make a vibration table? Thanks for your posts. They are informative and entertaining.

Good video. Makes the project look achievable for those without experience. I have look up the definition of concrete because I've always thought concrete is cement with stone, but everyone is calling these projects concrete.

Yea, great Diy channel. Everyone has the tools at home you need for this. Nothing in this vid is Diy for a normal person, with relativ little tools. But Nice work, i realy like it.

I think i will actually use this method to create mine, however i am forgoing the concrete base for one with a wood construction so i can house the tank underneath. I was trying to find something to use for a table top, and until now was considering tile.

Also, as a tip to anyone else doing this, you can create different effects in your concrete by adding colored sand to your mix.
