I’ve been waiting since last fall for these tours!

I guess the advantage of rocky land is the free resources to build an AMAZING rock-walled raised bed hobbit garden. Hobbits are quite good gardeners!😊 Always enjoy the garden tours.

I LOVE the long tours!!! They will never be too long. I cannot tell you how much I have been waiting for this video. I want to see all the gardens in every tour video. It doesn't matter if they are long. The info you give is priceless.

Bless you Jess! Just wanted to say I love your format and all the info you share. And wanted to share a funny "sunchoke" story of my own. I had never heard of them or tried them until one night, for a very special treat, my sister, her husband and I were going out for dinner followed by the ballet "Swan Lake." We went to this amazing fancy restaurant and had the best dinner of our lives, and each of us had the special with "Jerusalem artichokes" sauteed with this amazing sauce. They were literally to die for. About 20 minutes into the ballet the three of us are clutching our guts, unbeknownst to any of us of the effects of the sunchoke wind factor. The gas is real and if you're in a place where you can't let it go so is the pain. This ruined what would have been a very beautiful of once-in-a-lifetime experience because all of our focus was on trying not to pass wind in the ballet with all these fancy people. 😲😧💨Finally at intermission and we could make our way to the bathroom and we discovered that we are all suffering the same ill effects. We were thinking we had food poisoning or something. We just had no idea what was going on. It wasn't until some days later when I Googled Jerusalem artichokes, because they were so delicious I wanted to try and make some myself, that I heard about the wind effect, we realized what had taken place that night. I haven't tried them since but I'd recommend them, with a side of gas-ex, jic!

I made kohlrabi French fries one time that were delicious! I peeled, cut into sticks, rolled in olive oil and salt/pepper. Then baked in oven till crispy.

I discovered last summer that I could eat immature spaghetti squash as summer squash, so good! Prior to this, I never knew this could be done.

Wowza! Its so much garden! And I loved every minute of it. I needed a break in between planting today and this was a very fun way to spend that break. I loved seeing the tag on the metal flower at the beginning because my kids make fun of me for always forgetting to pull the tags off of things. Then when you rounded the corner of the greenhouse where the strawberries are, there what looked like an aqua bird statue that has fallen over. I laughed because I have an aqua peacock in my garden that falls over. Every time I go out there I stand it back up. LOL. I never thought the cottage garden looked hobbity, it looks old world to me, and I love it.

I love these long garden tours. It’s a pleasure to know I’ve got one of your garden tour videos to watch while I clean or sort laundry or just to have ready to watch when I take a few minutes to sit down and zone out with a sandwich for lunch.

As for how to handle this year’s garden tours: please yourself, first. If you started these as a capsule reminder or video journal to review in the winter, you should continue that way. Record your thoughts on your garden for yourself. Sure, take a moment to indulge your viewers, maybe explain why you’ve made certain decisions or what you’d do different, but first use these videos the way you originally intended. A video garden journal. 👍🏼 We’ll happily watch whatever you choose to share!

I love this playlist. This season was the year I discovered you and joined you as I was on a journey to become a better gardener.

I love your garden tours! You are a magnificent gardener and I appreciate all of the tips you share! I’m in zone 7a so I am just a tad behind you lol. I watch to see what I need to be planting next! I think I spied some chickweed over with the lilies....that stuff is amazing in a salad! And good for you too! Chickens love it too! It will die out with the warm weather though. Also...you can harvest and dry the catnip like you would mint or lemon balm (all in the same family) and use in tea. Look up it’s medicinal uses! It’s a great herb to have growing! Thanks again for sharing! ❤️🌱🌿🍃

An idea for a name for the garden around 44:00, place an item back there and name it after it. For example, place a wagon wheel there and call it the Wagon Wheel Garden 😊

Whenever the neighbors would clean their duck pond I would cart the water to my garden and it would go absolutely Crazy. It would grow like MAD and turn such a beautiful dark green color, everything would burst into flower. Crazy MAD Turdalizer 😆
