Reminds me of the meme "Yes the planet got destroyed. But for a beautiful moment in time we created a lot of value for shareholders."

If companies turn to AI as a disruptive solution then society should also disrupt those companies as well. Budweiser certainly has seen the effects of boycotting a company can have. AI is taking away, then we need to take away their potential of profit. This is a stand that society must take. A necessity.

I suspect if all jobs are taken by ai robots, we will all be receiving UBI depending on your political ideology and social credit score.

This transition with AI seems to be exponential not linear not good for workers, but it does seem like a lot of hype and not a ton of real world applications yet

AI has been around for 30 to 50 years. AI is nothing new, but the hype is overwhelming.
1.) The earliest example of AI is auto-pilot on airplanes. (about 50 to 70 years ago).
2.) Another early example of AI is macros in software such as Word Perfect, Word, Excel. (about 30 years ago)
3.) AI chatbots are affecting foreign call centers (Philippines, India, Bangladesh) as many U.S. companies moved first level customer support to foreign countries.
4.) AI is affecting Nigerian essay writers for U.S. college students.
5.) Modern cookware (Instapot, microwaves) are a form of AI. People don't have to slave over a hot stove to cook. Set the program on these cooking appliances and walk away. i.e. microwave popcorn, rice cooking, stews, bread makers, soups, yogurt.

We have AI working with multiple different areas including direct healthcare already. I’m expecting to lose my position in about six months tops. AI isn’t a myth. It’s already here and advancing daily to move into more areas soon.

Interestingly your vid title is almost a perfect match for the MIT News article, "Trading Places." In that article cheap Chinese labor played the role of AI and automation in this vid.
