I've seen a LOT of Animatics, but few that hit every sore and soft spot I have for this game that's currently taking over every minute of free time I can spare. Love how every lyric and frame is matched to mean something, and almost everyone in the game I hold dear is included. And your artstyle and expressions on each character of course, is extremely pleasing and perfectly captures whichever emotion you're trying to convey in them.

I'M UGLY I just realized something. Since Venti took the appearance of his friend, the statue of Barbatos near the cathedral is dedicated to his friend. We found him in his quest in the palm of the statue, just like how he sat in his friend's palm.

My absolute FAVORITE parts of this plus some analysis since I've come back to this at least once a week since i first saw it:
(spoilers for various plotpoints of genshin)
-Having venti sit on the statue on "the blood of the poet"
-"Who by singing invents love" sings to "invent" the nameless poet (love)
-"there the morning strips the dreams to give us a world of love" The cut from guizhong (dreams of the past) to zl then childe joining to represent the world of love
-love it's you, love it's me/the bird it's you, the child it's me" both the bard and venti representing love, bird, and the child, since even though venti is the one that physically resembles a bird in the end it's the bard that "flies away, " and venti IS the child and IS love (from my second bullet point) since he's supposed to be the bard now by taking his form
-"Me, I am only a girl of shade/Who sees shine the evening star" and "you my star who weaves my round/come light my black sun"
-> lumine being the "girl of shade: since she's in the abyss order while aether is the "evening star" where he's hailed as a hero by nations
->Both lumine and aether being eachother's stars
->black sun means eclipse. of the day = w/o lumine aether's day doesn't have light
-"Country of love" being scaramouche
->scaramouche himself being a country but by naming himself "Kunikuzushi" (country destroyer/usurper) and by trying to usurp inazuma and (now) sumeru he's in turn destroying himself
-"for those who have a child heart" and showing the unlit vision of kazuha's friend (kazuha's heart) and the gnosis (scara's heart)
->both kazuha and scara having (and losing) a child's heart
-"like a child with light in their eyes/who sees the bird fly far away" again circling back to the idea of venti being the child and the bard who flies away
-the last couple frames having the bard and venti facing each other
->venti being a child but also losing his innocence through losing the bard

This entire animatic's about grief, love (duh), and the loss of innocence through grief that individual characters in genshin have faced and i think I'll worship this video until the day I die
