Why would a family send their stuff to the auction and then try to buy it back, jack up the price bc they don't want it to go for cheap, that is plain wrong. When you send stuff to auction, it is a gamble. Having sent stuff to auctions before, I know that you cannot expect to get big bucks for your stuff. If the family didn't want their stuff in the auction, why was it there? People are weird. I like the E.T toy. BTW, in that depression glass, that little "Flaw" might be a bubble or a manufacturers flaw. I have seen that on a lot of glassware. Can't wait for your next haul.

That was fun! I kept "telling you to stop" and pick certain things up on the tables. Love the tumblers with the playing card symbols on them as well as the iron pieces. Your little dog is so funny. She always tries to infiltrate your vids! :)

When you suspect a crack in a if cracked, all you will hear is your fingernail hitting the sound will stop at that....but if perfect, the sound will vibrate for awhile.

Those glasses that are made in Italy look like sherbet or ice cream glasses, the kind used for sundaes.

The iron art is beautifully modelled and cast. It would do well in the UK. I'd be tempted to rub a tiny bit of something to bring out the fine details but this is probably heresy! I think they are outstanding and if UK customs weren't so evil about charging excise on goods from the US, doubtless made worse by certain recent protectionist measures. Ahem. You know who and what I mean.

There is a lot of China that I think is ugly or not my style, but I have seen that it sells for a pretty penny on eBay and Etsy. I’m definitely learning not to discriminate on China. Everyone has their preferences and adore pieces that are nostalgic to them and are willing to spend good money on it. I always love learning about pieces that I would have otherwise passed by. Thanks for sharing!
