The ‘Blitz’ has been a mainstay of Opel vehicles for decades. Today, Opel unveils a new iconic emblem, a progressive statement of our relentless ambition to always go further. Discover our new brand logo – bold, sharpened and confident.

The Opel logo is more relevant than ever before. It expresses who we are and where we want to go. It not only symbolises our promise to the democratization of innovation and mobility but also conveys our commitment to becoming a fully electric brand in Europe by 2028. Like no other brand logo, our iconic lightning bolt stands for an electrifying future. Now more than ever.​

This is our energy, this is our new Opel logo – which will feature on Opel production vehicles as early as 2024. It will continue to form a central element of our graphic design principle – the Opel Compass, while simultaneously sitting proudly at the centre of the Opel Vizor brand face. Powered by positivity we want to create a tomorrow that is not only better for the planet but more exciting for the people. That’s what we manifest with our redesigned, even more energetic brand logo.​

Congratulations to the Opel car company!!!
My late father had an Opel car way back in the 1970's. I remember our family travelling in it here in South Asia. It was an Opel Rekord Olympia 4 door sedan.

Reference to the lightning icon, when we see it applied on electrical boards or circuits.
The detail is that it is composed of separate parts, which unnecessarily complicates its physical application. On the screen, it is very nice.

Yes if the cars would actually look like that it would be great, as it would make it clear and difficult for anyone to copy, but do you dare hope that the production models will actually have it?
Incidentally, the emblem is very reminiscent of 1964, the emblem I consider the most elegant... of them all...
So the future is in fact history repeating...
The division into two, on the other hand, feels strange, unsure what to think of it.
But it is the same as the new Corsa DRL also divided into smaller sections.
You probably need to see it on a car to know if it works on the logo.

@Opel What do you think about bringing old models like Vectra B but hybrid or electric like you take that old good looking Opel Vectra B and modernize it design and look inside. That would look good :) . I have Vectra b since from the salon in elegance version in Velour upholstery with automatic and 1.8 engine 125hp and it still looks good for her age ;)

Opel is a car that is not worth buying, because the service is very low. after switching from GM to PSA, the maintenance on the electronic part of the cars until 2019 is low, you will be left with your problem alone and no one can solve it. I say this as the owner of a 2018 Opel Vivaro. Also with the transition to electric vehicles, you just don’t know what problems you can expect)
