Let's find out who's who.

Aiko should also be considered a winner for getting a girlfriend out of the experience, even if she didn’t qualify.

Shout out to Marina Satti as well as a winner, who charted a BUNCH with her new album, even though she faced and still faces a ton of backlash from certain people here in Greece. That didn't stop her from putting out an album that charted globally on Spotify and in Greece 4/6 songs are on places 1-4 in the TOP 5 and her future lives and concerts in the country sold out in minutes.

She is an icon and we love her!

For Ireland, people really need to be mentioning Sergio Jaen more, the 22 year-old staging director. The strength of the performance isn't the song itself - it's how they told the story onstage. I anticipate Sergio will be booked and busy for the next several decades.

Looking back now, we f***ing dodged a bullet there (in 2023). 😆 Käärijä is one of the hottest Eurovision stars still and we didn't have to host this hot mess. 😅

Since his disqualification, I've seen more Joost fan content than ever before. There were Estonia memes and lyrics videos (someone mentioned "the k-popification of Estonia") but Joost is everywhere.

Windows95man is definitely one of the winners. Made the most connections, made a huge impact, became locally (even more) beloved.

No matter how the trial ends up for Joost Klein, it’s fair to say that it was problematic to dq him. He wasn’t arrested, and if you’re not arrested you can usually go to work as usual.

As Ukrainian, who liked Norwegian entry this year a lot, I feel upset by the fact that they ended the last. This is 💔😢

I’m glad I’ve discovered ESCUnited and ESC Gabe, they are not afraid to speak up and express their honest opinion.

I'm so happy for Baby Lasagna -- even though he didn't win, he's wildly popular now and I can't think his album will be anything but really successful! And Joost - he is still really popular and I hope this experience ends up a net gain for him after the raw deal he got. And I also really hope this is just the beginning of a lot of success for Bambie Thug too! I'm going to be following all of them plus Jerry Heil & Alyona Alyona too! I'll listen to them no matter what language they sing in but I hope they might do a little more English just because its the only language I know. LOL! glad you'll keep posting videos! I get such ESC withdrawl, that will help immensely! THank you for all of the informative and entertaining videos!

Here in the Czech Republic we are sorry for the former head of our delegation. They do not represent us!

Thx Gabe, I literally agree with all of it. To add, Joost sold out many of his shows in literal seconds, they needed to move Warsaw concert to a bigger venue, and 7 of his songs are since the sh*t hit the fan on Polish viral top 50. He is now also on Billboard 200, where he entered with 50 something place. To be honest I think maybe this was a better finish for him than being in top 5 because let's be honest, he wouldn't beat Nemo's vocals

among winners of ESC24, gabe, is you !! you really become the mvp that kept his calm and was relaying confirmed info and this was so valuable to all those who were reading all kind of insanity online. I'm personally a new follower of yours and here to stay, and i'm saying this while i have no certitude of if i'll keep watching esc itself after how horrific it was this year. big big big shoutout to the fan media all around who made it a game changer and who, i'm sure, must have been struggling themselves while attending the event. x

when looking at the UK vs Ireland, obviously there's a lot to say about the songs themselves and how well the performances were executed but I think there's also a big difference in how the staging was conceptualised in both.

Both performances focused heavily on bringing music video-level cinematography but they achieved this in very different ways. The UK created a whole set for Olly to perform in, which, while allowing for some fantastic moments, detached the performance from the arena and the audience. We've seen that approach alienate voters before with Dance You Off, which also received a poultry number of votes. Of course, that performance was executed well enough to get a high jury score, a grace that Olly sadly wasn't gifted.

Meanwhile, Ireland's performance was expertly shot and choreographed but it was done so in a way that felt both intimate and like a theatrical stage spectacular. I think those wanting to stage future ESC songs could deffo use these two songs as excellent case studies of what the best approach is.

And since I know someone's gonna say it: yes, Sweden's performance this year was also very Dance You Off but they had clearly learned from that song and brought the audience in far earlier so it still felt like a live performance.

My big winner is Angelina Mango. 22yo she appears from nowhere and wins Sanremo, then high in odds for a long time she places herself 7th always performing perfectly and leaving silently as a professional mature singer (she could have blamed Rai for the leaks on Israel). Meanwhile she performs imagine, la rondine, in fila indiana unplugged, gifting us with gem songs

This is gonna sound real mushy of me, but for me Danny Estrin is a winner too, because no matter all the struggles he’s had since September, he was able to tick off a bucket list moment and announce the Australian 12 points for something he loves (and his cancer’s shrinking 😭😭)

When I watched Nemo's performance, I knew it was a winner. But there were really many fun and amazing songs and performances (Baby Lasagna made me bop alone in my room). Liked Gate (Norway) too! I love Eurovision because I discover a variety of genres and artists. I think US musicians have too much hegemony in the global scene. Thanks for the reporting! Love from Asia!
