To me the relation of the logo to the name has to do with strength of the product. An arm striking something with a hammer is pretty powerful.

Here is the (hypothesized) reason for the name and logo; Vulcan was the God of fire and metalworking. Fire is known to be the symbol of purification. It is called Arm and Hammer to let consumers know that this is the purest product that you can buy in regards to baking soda and et cetera

I have no idea on the company stuff but My dad is in construction and uses muriatic acid to make a nice exposed finish in concrete and uses baking soda to neutralize and scrub the concrete and it works great.One thing that worked great for me was I had saved one of my first inflatable pool toys I ever got when I was 6 or 7 but it was grimy on the bottom and so I made a paste of baking soda and it took all of the crap off without scratching it and to this day I still have it. So all in all baking soda is awesome !

Hi, Company Man. I used to work in a chemical plant and would receive 1500 pound pallets of 50 pound bags of Arm and Hammer baking soda. The bags were paper and resembled a cement bag, but with a plastic coating inside. We used it to raise the pH in chemical reactions, but it was also labeled "FOOD GRADE", so I would assume that they also deliver it in this way to large commercial food producers.

Let me tell you, Oragel is a gift! I have anxiety so I get ulcers in my mouth all the time and sometimes I bite the sides of my mouth. Normally I don’t need it but once I had to practice “A Midsummer Nights Dream” for a whole day and I could barely talk which isn’t good when you have to...talk. It only lasts ten or so minutes per application but it will numb that thing out! Didn’t feel a thing! That stuffs great.
