Professor Aleksander Madry SM ’09, PhD ’11 The incredible progress on artificial intelligence (AI) over the past decade has turned yesterday's sci-fi dreams into today's (almost mundane) realities. So, just what is today's cutting-edge AI capable of? What's been driving its rapid evolution? In this talk, we will dive into these questions. We will also discuss the impact this technology has on our world and society, and what we can (and should) do to ensure this impact is a positive one.

Aleksander Madry SM ’09, PhD ’11, director of the MIT Center for Deployable Machine Learning and Cadence Design Systems Professor of Computing, will explore the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence. Madry recently testified to Congress about how artificial intelligence tools are being used by corporations.
