Fear not! A recent LEGO set that I purchased came with a printed note promising that paper bags are “coming soon to LEGO sets.” The paper note was on the bottom of the box (easy to miss) buried by a mound of plastic bags!

Here over in Germany, I have got some sets with paperbags, but I absolutely don‘t like them, because parts get easy stucked in them. I really like that Jang is increasingly addressing grievances at Lego and doing so in a matter-of-fact and calm manner.

Thank you Jang. Your review confirmed three things. 1.This set is a collector's item. 2. We don't need the GWP to enhance its collectiblity. 3. Lego always reminds us of how polarized its decisions can be.

Another great review Jang. Totally agree on the GWP. Lego should do the decent thing and make one available for everyone who has or will be buying the ship. It would give them some much needed goodwill

I got myself this for Christmas and I’ve pretty much just opened it, and thankfully EVERY bag was paper! I’m actually really happy about that because none of the sets I’ve bought since they introduced paper bags (maybe 15-25 sets?) and not a single one of them has had a paper bag

The new botanical sets have smaller plastic bags within the bigger paper bags which is weird, even when they have the same size bag in paper already 🤔

Great review, I appreciate all the detail about the ship - the kennels, for example, I had no idea what those were.

I thought the use of “brick and mortar” patterned bricks for planking was clever.
