yes i agree, arnorld was never be the arnorld we saw back in 75.. but that arnorld in 80 was enough to win the crown.. he still a lot bigger than his competitor's..

It's true. Life is not fair. I like Arnold, but I can totally see a sneaky character behind all those smiles and motivational hard working talks. What he achieved is marvellous. He is one of the best looking bodybuilders in history, but, in my humble opinion, Frank Zane is the best bodybuilder.

You can't pull a vacuum on a front double biceps pose with a fat or distended gut. Check out Mentzer's vacuum poses during this specific contest. Someone else also said Mike had wide hips, but I'm not seeing it, especially on the vacuum pose and abs/calves pose. Arnold had good calves but that won't hide poor quads, which in my opinion put Arnold behind 5 other guys. No one is talking about Danny Padilla that had it all going on quite well and also should have also placed higher than Arnold. Arnold had slightly wider lats than Mike but Mike's lats were thicker, looking 3D but Arnold's back thickness was also lacking, looking flat. Zane, Mentzer, Dickerson, Platz, Padilla, Bannout, Coe, all looked more complete than Arnie. I'd put Arnold as 6th as best, even though he's always been my favorite. Cant win a contest with just an upper body and calves.

Arnold, was 80% of his 1975 Mr. Olympia win, but it didn't matter he still looked better than everyone else.

Atleast now in this era, Arnold should come forth and admit that in 1980 Mr. Olympia clearly Mike was the winner and also have the guts to tell us all the honest story what exactly happened back in 1980 and how was Arnold crowned the Mr. Olympia when clearly Mike was the winner. Arnold should honor Mike Mentzer the true winner of 1980 Mr.Olympia. This act of honesty and courage from Arnold will be loved by the bodybuilding world and elevate his reputation along with The true Legend Mike Mentzer.
