A Boat Trip with Symphony and All our Kids in Spirit

In February 2025, I had the pleasure of welcoming four dear friends and fellow Symphony Circle members to my home for a week filled with love, connection, and incredible moments with our children in spirit, as well as Symphony. Sadly, one of our circle members, Shelley, couldn’t join us this time, but we made sure to include her. We even carried a picture of her on many of our outings, as you can see in the photo of all of us.

On this particular day, 16th February, we took a fun-filled boat ride along the intercoastal waterway near my home. Not only did all our kids in spirit join us, but they also spoke in the air around us… their voices heard in real time as they did so. Everyone present experienced hearing some of these interactions firsthand. This kind of real-time communication has been part of my life for years now, and it had been my greatest wish that these dear friends and fellow circle members would have a similar firsthand experience. They did, and my heart was full.

As you watch the video, you’ll see the joy on Cathy’s face as she hears her son Ian speak, and the smile on Nell Rose’s face when she hears my son Tommy’s name. Other affirmations of hearing our kids speak can be heard but not seen.

You’ll also hear me mention Jack saying that he was on the boat with Tommy. He has since changed his comment to being in the moment. You’ll also hear my son mention London and say that it’s working—as in, it’s working out. That relates to something that hadn’t even happened yet at the time of the boat trip. My daughter Phoebe, Tommy’s sister, and her boyfriend moved to London at the beginning of March, several weeks after the boat trip had occurred. Fascinating stuff.
