Την Παρασκευή 29 Ιουλίου 2022, , ο Πολιτιστικός και Μορφωτικός σύλλογος Μαραθιά διοργάνωσε για ακόμα μια φορά στο λιμανάκι και την παραλία του Μαραθιά, μια μικρή γιορτή : Αναπαράσταση του Πυραφανίου.
Μια πανέμορφη βραδιά δίπλα στη θάλασσα, με ρομαντική καλοκαιρινή διάθεση, όλο το χωριό φωτισμένο με εκατοντάδες φαναράκια και κεριά, με τους ψαράδες στην αναπαράσταση του πυροφανιού να γλυστρούν σιγά μέσα στη θάλασσα με αναμμένα τα πυροφάνια τους.
Οι εντυπώσεις που μου έμειναν από την εκδήλωση ήταν οι καλύτερες, όμορφες εικόνες και μνήμες με τα πυροφάνια να φέγγουν στη θάλασσα, με τα φαναράκια παραταγμένα σε όλο το μήκος της παραλίας και στο λιμάνι, με ωραίες μουσικές επιλογές.
Το πυροφάνι είναι μια αρχαία μέθοδος ψαρέματος που ακολουθείται μέχρι σήμερα. Γίνεται σε ήρεμη θάλασσα τις νύχτες χωρίς φεγγάρι, με μια βάρκα, στην πλώρη της οποίας είναι τοποθετημένα ένα ή περισσότερα μεγάλα φαναράκια που το φως τους ελκύει τα ψάρια. Με το φως, τα ψάρια και τα άλλα θαλασσινά έλκονται και ακινητοποιούνται, οπότε είναι εύκολο να τα ψαρέψουν.
On Friday, July 29, 2022, the Cultural and Educational Association Marathia organized once again in the port and beach of Marathia, a small celebration: Representation of Pyrofani.
A beautiful evening by the sea, with a romantic summer mood, the whole village lit up with hundreds of lanterns and candles, with the fishermen in the representation of the Pyrofani gliding slowly into the sea with their Pyrofani lit.
The impressions that remained with me from the event were the best, beautiful images and memories with the Lights of Pyrofani in the sea, with the lanterns lined up along the entire length of the beach and in the port, with nice music selections.
Pyrofani is an ancient method of fishing that is followed to this day. It takes place in a calm sea on moonless nights, with a boat, on the bow of which one or more large lanterns are placed whose light attracts fish. With light, fish and other seafood are attracted and immobilized, so they are easy to fish.
