Sew your own 18th century stays inspired corset top! Works for history-bounding, rococo, lolita, fairy, cottagecore and more! It uses only one basic bodice pattern piece (only one!) and requires no binding. You don't need any special equipment or materials.

Materials: fabric, two-piece eyelets (I used 5mm), zip ties and cord/ribbon for lacing (I used strips of lace)

I like that you left the mistakes in the video and explained what went wrong. "It's all part of the process" should a sewing mantra lol!

I made this today and yesterday and couldn't be more happy how it turned out for my first corset top! It is not perfect but I am proud for making this alone! The tool is so genious and helpful. I love that you can just draw it and don't need a printer. Also I learned from your tips, for example the ladder stitch. So helpful!! Thanks a lot for the great video ^^

Hi!! I'm trying to make a "corset top/stay top" thing, and I was wondering if I had to do three pieces for the "front" or I could fuse two. Then I wondered if the pieces and sewing would make a difference on the structure. How weird this corset top is just ONE patter piece. WOW. I will try less pattern pieces. The less sewing the better!! (As I DONT have a sewing machine!!

omg thank you!! this is exactly what i was looking for!! hoping to put together an elf/fairy costume for the Texas Ren Fest in a few weeks to match with my step-daughter's. last week when we went, I had bought her a matching bodice & skirt at one of the hand-crafted costume shops at Ren Fest which is SO similar to yours - literally almost exact and was so expensive but i mean worth it bc it really is beautiful lol but now its my turn!! LOL

Thank you thank you thank you!! I am so excited to try this out, thank you for sharing, beautiful!! <3 <3 <3

This is a great video!!! It's helped me a lot but I'm having some confusion as to how you sewed the straps on, I wish you had showed more of how to do that because I find the wording of the instructions to be kind of hard to understand. Am I meant to take out some of the top hem?
