I have been against these paddles, however as more and more are showing up where I play and players, I used to beat are now beating me I feel like if you can't beat em might have to join em!

I've been hitting with this paddle quite a bit AFTER this review and I wanted to follow up on a few things:
1. I personally don't feel the 14mm paddle I've been hitting with has gotten more "lively" or increased in power as some other reviewers have noted... maybe it's just me.
2. Spin feels like it might have diminished ever so slightly but honestly I'm still getting more spin than I would from most other paddles
3. Durability is pretty good. No crushing on the core, the edge guard is doing very well, and the only thing noticeable is the surface being a bit more smooth from all the hitting.
4. It's very hard to not want to use this paddle. I picked up my Franklin FS Dynasty Tour 14mm and hit with it again after playing with the MOD for so long and my Franklin still kills it out there. However; the MOD is just so versatile from all areas of the court that given the choice of a tournament paddle I'd choose the MOD.
5. With all that said, I still think the MOD is an outstanding paddle and is really setting the bar for other manufacturers. Given its price I still think I'm going to stick with the Franklin I have... The MOD is just not $130 better.

Lastly, playing on the other end of this MOD (when my opponent is using it) it's very noticeable and definitely causes extra pressure on my part. Hope this information is helpful, and I'm happy to answer any questions!

Currently I am out to look for new 16mm paddle after 4 months in this game, considering between MOD and CRBN 3X… which one would u recommended?

I had one and sold it, not sure a 3.5 is going to benefit from the significant amount of Pop in the defensive situations. JMHO.

What is the main difference between the 16mm and the 14mm versions? The reviewer who preferred the 14mm didn't really give any reasons for it. Or is it just the feel?

My question is to what extent is this paddle legal? And is it expected to stay so?

Until a manufacturer can convince me that their paddle’s grit can last a few years without significant spin loss I’ll consider all paddles to be disposable and refuse to spend anywhere near this kind of money to get maybe 100 hours of quality play out of them. If I were filthy rich I’d do it but I’m not so I won’t.
