8:41 I missed the S. The shirt says Slaughter not Laugh. 7 different people have mentioned it so please spare me already.

Fun fact: Francis Bacon, whose work inspired Ledger's Joker design, was the painter of the canvas Nicholson's Joker wanted to spare at the museum in Batman '89, saying "I like this one"

Edit: didn't expect so many likes, thanks guys !

I think it’s funny that Bane’s original mask was too “unrealistic” for the trilogy, so instead they gave him basically a Darth Vader breathing tube mask for a face when in all honesty a tough guy from South America running around and beating people up wearing a luchador mask sounds pretty plausible.

The dead Batman copycat hanging in the final version of the film was creepy enough, but that concept art of the copycat hanging from the lightpole in the middle of a dirty, dusky city is straight nightmare fuel.

Honestly the "scary" Joker concept feels more like how he would look like after his victims get sprayed with fear toxin

Surprised you didn’t mention that Ledger was originally planned to play a role in TDKR before his death. It was presumed that when Bane released the Arkham prisoners Ledgers Joker would have embraced the Chaos of Gotham and play a minor roll in its downfall like Cillians Scarecrow.

I would like a batman movie remake but it's just truly dark, creepy and terror. I want to see how creepy batman can get and these concept designs shows

I love how looking at the concept art of movies makes it feel more fleshed out. It shows that it was truly a collaborative effort, with all sorts of ideas considered.
I'd love to see some of the concept art for the Star Wars movies covered!

The most overlooked part of Batman Begins is Cillian Murphy as Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow. Was he underused and dumb downed yes but he remained a part of the entire trilogy as small a part it may be andI I think the villain known as the Scarecrow is without a doubt an A list villain right up there with Joker, Bane, Ra’s Al Gaul, Riddler and Poison Ivy.

Love the way Nolan talks, so articulate I can listen to him for hours. He's just so well spoken.

I know Nolan was never the type of man to sacrifice his artistic vision for a buck, but I would have loved to have seen more films i this universe. To see the rise of Robin Blake’s Batman, to the return of Bruce Waynes. There were so many stories and villains that could have been done so interestingly in this universe.

It's fascinating to learn about the Dark Knight Trilogies cut content, because Christopher Nolan is very comprehensive with his scripts and ideas, which doesn't leave much room for ideas and elements to be dropped, so whenever I come across something new about the cut concepts for one of his flims it's very interesting.
Another GREAT VIDEO WarpingFist!

I actually like the more “clean” aesthetic that the Dark Knight Trilogy ended up with. It made it seem more like a detective movie. I liked that.

I like to think the Joker’s backstory is that he was a normal personal who got into some type of accident and it disfigured his face in that way. He then went insane over time and the appearance of Batman caused his mind to finally break, and that’s why he’s only appearing now.

I wish Nolan would include a scene with Bane eating without a mask. Not showing his face, just his back. Struggling to hold a spoon and this incredible pain, relieving just after putting mask on.

What's interesting is how few deleted scenes there are in the trilogy. That's the sign of a disciplined, thoughtful filmmaker who knows exactly what story he wants to tell. Contrast this with a supposedly 4 hour cut of Thor Love and Thunder-- 2 hours of cut content. That's just burning your studio's money.

NGL That Joker Concept Looks Terrifying and Awesome

5:19 That actually looks sick! These concepts look interesting and with Nolan making "The Dark Knight" darker than it is sounds crazy, even though it might happen when we see the new Batman trilogy's take on Joker.
