For real simple tuning adjustment I like to take the e string down to a "d" for some songs such as Uriah Heep The wizard. Super deep power for songs in the d structure

With some guitars, do you have to have the guitar set up again if you alter the tuning radically? I've heard some say that if you have thicker gauge strings, a setup might be necessary. Has this been your experience?

Open tunings..capos..string gauges ..no one can say guitars aren’t versatile. Piano can’t do that stuff

If I place my capo in the guitar and tune to standard open E tuning is that a consistent way of achieving these open tuning modes ?
