I like Corbyn, unlike the vast majority of politicians I actually believe that he cares about people and wants to make a difference to lives. Most of them just want to further their own pay cheque.

James has lost it over this one. JC did get out and tell the truth to massive crowds.

I don’t understand JoB’s corbyn-skepticism. I really don’t.

Almost everything James stands for and argues for on a daily basis, is encapsulated by corbyn and his ideology. Yet he slates him every chance he gets. Not sure what the agenda is.

he doesnt have the highest media profile because we have the most right wing press in europe and they dont want to pay higher taxes and contribute to public services, and at some point the leader of the largest party in europe has to do some work other than deflecting slander

Reason why he can't answer the question is because James presupposed the guys position of liking Jeremy Corbyn the person so much. Therefore the guy couldn't answer because he doesn't really like him he obviously is just alright with his policies, which I don't understand how anyone would not understand that.

I have to say, James really loses my respect when it comes to his view of Labour right now. James goes on about wanting a strong opposition, yet completely berates EVERY incarnation of the Labour party we have had for the last 3 decades. Corbyn is by no means perfect and I would rather see some of his current front bench leading if I am honest, but how does James think he is helping this situation? Where is his solution? Where are his suggestions for who should be leading, or how Corbyn should be leading? And why when he is so quick to jump down the thraots of the tabloids about EVERY OTHER ISSUE and how they lie at will, yet he just gobbles up the completely overblown propaganda about antisemitism in Labour! As if it isn't worse in other parties anyways, you have to be demented to think otherwise... The only time he is ever talking about EITHER party these days is how terrible they are, whilst giving not a shred of thought or direction to who should actually be leading. It is wearing rather thin.

Nonsense question, nonsense position. Why is James so disingenuous on Corbyn?

Standing up for Palestinian human rights is not anti-semitic, no matter how desperate the Blairites are to invent a reason to topple Corbyn.

I can’t listen to the whole thing because James is letting himself down so badly and usually I like him. The caller, Simon, is so much more rational and dignified. Like many other commentators, I don’t get James on this. He’s got a bee in his bonnet. He is uncharacteristically irrational. It’s as if there is a jammer preventing him from receiving Corbyn because stuff he says Corbyn should be doing, Corbyn is doing - unless, as Simon explains, it would be undemocratic for him to intervene. Certainly he has been as unequivocal as any man can be in condemning anti-semitism

You don’t pass your own smell test on Corbyn James . You are the one making the emotional arguments here. “You know very well why he has to avoid most of the media - when did you last see a positive “media” report on him?

I do usually agree with him but I don't think he appreciates how Anti-Semitism as a concept is weaponised and utilitiesed by cynical people to smeer and stiffle debate.

So....we should base our views on a party leader by a radio presenter’s email inbox?
😂

I believe that engagement with the IRA is beneficial when the times and circumstances require it. It will avoid violent acts as they can negotiate on a high level basis and avoid unnecessary death on both sides of the argument. War solves nothing more than getting parties to admit a conversation is needed....

Why are we, Cornyn supporters, always called "fanatics"???

James let's himself down on this subject, much like his establishment friends at the daily mail.

I miss old Corbyn. He was a genuine guy.
I think James likes the monarchy way too much.

I think James wants too much here tbh. He tried all the things which "dignify" a politician before finally sighing, and cutting the losses in order to prevent sinking the party. Yeah it sucks when you have to compromise but that's the nature of the game, sometimes.

JOB falls down on Corbyn. It seems to be his anti-Tory bias accusation get-out.
