Perfect - thanks. I've abandoned Win-UAE until I hit a limitation in FS-UAE (which I probably won't). I actually wanted WB 1.3 so slightly adapted this but really appreciate it. Ooh, nostalgia, feels good.

Oh wow. You did an incredible job with this tutorial! Easy to follow, and helped me out of a lot of pitfalls I’d have been stuck in. Now I’m looking at the Amiga desktop I hadn’t seen since I was a kid. What a wave of nostalgia! Only have two questions. Using the a1200 workbench, I can’t open either igames or any of the programs on the desktop. Is it supposed to be like that? In the Amiga 4000 mode, everything works with ease. I even got the writing program to work (paint needs a disk, though). Also, some of the older games play too fast, is there a slowdown feature I’m not aware of? Thanks again!

What is the benefit of workbench does it make save states work? Save states are normally greyed out for me.

Thanks for the video! I have Amiga Forever 8 Plus... I don't remember seeing the "ClassicWB_UAE_v28" folder being included. I haven't installed it in awhile, but I was always frustrated that it seemed to be a monolithic package and I don't even remember being able to get the Kickstart/WB disks from them. I don't know if this has changed in v9/v10 or I'm just looking in the wrong place. I do have Kickstart/WB but for instance, don't remember seeing the "Hard Disk" directory and its contents.

Also, what are your thoughts on FS-UAE vs. WinUAE? Why one over the other? Anyway thought I'd spin up an emulator after seeing your video... my second computer (after AppleIIe) was an Amiga 500 and it's the first machine I got online with! Very fond memories.

Hey Jamie, great video, I followed all the steps to install WHDload/Workbench 3.1. Can I run A500 games that otherwise wont work on A1200 from his setting?

thank you very much, your video is really clear! I have a problem using the game Reshoot-R: i followed your guide, but when i launch the game, it appears a pop up error message: "Could not find any of the kickstart images '40068.a1200', '40068.a400', '40063.a600' required by this Slave. Check the ReadMe. (prefix'whdcommon:kick' or 'devs:kickstarts/kick'). But i placed the requested files into the Kickstarts folder in the FS UAS installation folder...so...is it necessary to save the kickstart files required by this game in a specific folder? THank you!
