A tribute to one of Her Majesty’s favourite churches to mark Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubliee celebrations. The current church dates back to the 16th century and one of the finest examples of carrstone buildings. There is a Florentine marble font and a Greek font dating to the 9th century. The decorated carved angel chancel frames the silver altar and the elegant stained glass dates from the 16th century onwards. It has held many memorials to members and relations to the Royal Family from Queen Victoria onwards and is routinely visited by the Royal Family every Christmas.
