SonicWall N Stand Alone Mode Set Up

How to set up a SonicWall N Access Point in Stand Alone Mode.

1. The default management interface of the SonicPoint is 192.168.1.20
2. If you are connecting to the LAN port on the SonicPoint directly from a PC or through only the PoE injector, you need to configure the Local Area Connection on the PC to be in the same subnet as the SonicPoint.
IP address: 192.168.1.100
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
3. Start your Web browser and direct it to the default management IP address for the SonicPoint, 192.168.1.20
4. Login to the SonicPoint management interface with the default username "admin" and default password "password".
5. Configure the AP to the settings you wish.

I think you touched on some of my concerns. I have 2 SONICPOINT Ace. Can I hook this up to a non Sonic Router? Do I need to have a licence from SONIC View before setup?

Hi

i have a SonicPoint N2 and i have press the reset button for 20 sec to reset data

i get access to firmware but i dont have any access to change radio settings,
in status page i got disabled of 2 radio 2.4 and 5ghz

is that because i dont use poe injector, my sonicpoint is plugged into poe switch only in lan1 of my sonicpoint n2

Hi I purchased this Sonic system from a privet party and I was hoping to set it up at a cabin to expand my internet outside around my property. I'm sure if this is what it is intended use is?? Can I contact you for some help ( a lot of help) thanks I could not get the 192.168.1. 20 to populate ??
