What is Kafka?
Apache Kafka is an open-source distributed event streaming platform

Initially conceived as a messaging queue, Kafka is based on an abstraction of a distributed commit log.

To read the messages in string format in that kafka tool, go to properties tab (you are in data tab while reading the message ) and change the encoding from Bytes to String.
