I welcome this. Hunting has been a pain since I started working from home, and I have two 72 count boxes full of unwanted nonsense from ordering cases.

This is great. I hope they release enough stock so real collectors get a shot at getting their desired castings. Certainly beats Walmart and Target disappointment. Maybe even eliminate scalpers? 🙏🙏🙏

It's nice that this set is just 16 cars so even if you do end up with undesirables it's not a whole lot. With HW 'collecting' or should I say reselling/scalping being ultra-popular right now this actually gives us 'normies' a chance at getting some of the licensed vehicles that are being CLEANED out at our local stores.

I've got a feeling that it's something relatively "modern" amongst collectors, if anyone gets my drift.

Not gonna lie, thats actually really cool, and it shows them directing towards collectors to make sure they get what they want from cases, and without taking them from pegs all the time where kids may get lucky you know. I've seen this model work well for companies like Funko and even Lego, where there is that more direct to collector stuff with the most valuable or something. So it is great to see Hot Wheels find a way to follow that trend while still allowing for the hunt

so i got my black box today and i didnt get either dessert cars, the van or the track manga
instead i got the coupe clip(black/gold) the roadster bite, surfin' school bus and the ledgends tour firebird. I also managed to get the super treasure hunt

It's a box of new models/recolors that are new for 2023, for those who weren't listening. Yes it's possible to get a super, and yes it's possible to get a regular treasure hunt. There is no price yet

I haven't gotten hot wheels for at least 10 to 14 years, but just today I picked up a 50 car box where I work, I couldn't resist. I've walked by hot wheels in Walmart and dollarama and look briefly, I would them miss it, I never bought any though. I'm kinda thinking now I want to get back into getting them. I'm 24 and honestly shouldn't waste money on that kind of thing because as it is I'm into Lego, but man I miss them.

It's a neat concept but the only thing I worry about is how hot wheels are treated when they come directly from Amazon. All of the hot wheels cards I have ordered directly through Amazon come absolutely destroyed. I would hate to order this and it arrives totally crushed and I get a box of openers.

This is great. Staff won't be able to cut open the boxes and just take the good stuff. I will certainly need the D case version 😁

desert only has one s, dessert is the dish you eat after a meal. that's why it looked like a jello cake and the entire line was food theme.
