I like aquadecor backround but not sure about space behind. Is it possible to escape dirty water there? Why is backround not plate on backside?

I have made old fencing in my Aquarium out of BAMBOO with stainless steel rods in each piece of bamboo but it still wants to float! Anyone got any ideas?
All the pieces are waterlogged and have stainless steel rod's in each piece so no air trapped anywhere! I don't want to glue stone to them as it would look weird! Any advice would be much appreciated.
