Do you remember watching any of these?

Tony Shalhoub looked at NPH playing a neurotic germaphobe and said to himself, "I've got an idea for later down the line..."

I really enjoy these recaps of forgotten 90s tv. It's a real nostalgia trip.

Shasta McNasty crawled so It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia could fly.

Man, I'm both getting a Nostagic kick and cringing at all the 90s theme intros/ songs that tried to sound cool and hip, lol. I miss those days though.

Watching John Goodman float through the air after being hit by a train is such a WEIRD visual...

I don't remember any of these shows, but every title sequence absolutely screams 1999.

I loved "Action". I remember actually watching it when it was on the air, anticipating each episode. I was so disappointed when it was cancelled.

I don't remember ANY of these shows. None. But those definitively 90's theme songs take me back. 😂

You’ve struck a mighty rich vein of 90s with this one. Watching this I felt like I was finishing high school and wondering if everybody already knew I was gay.

There are some actors who just seemed to cycle in and out of failed shows.

Damn, I’m old. I remember being a Beachgoer extra on Shasta McNasty and I was a regular hallway extra on Get Real. I had a cool job that year.

I loved Now and Again, it was a weirdly compelling show unlike anything else on TV at the time. Oh and as a massive Babylon 5 fan I was so upset to see how network interference just killed Crusade before it even started.

I remember Shasta McNasty and Odd Man Out. One thing I loved about this era, besides the time period itself, was it was the era of theme songs. Not all of them were great, but it was the last gasp of shows that had that identifiable theme, and hearing them just transports you back to that time. True, your evening dramas like Law and Order have openings, but nothing like the old days. Nothing beats a "turn and smile" opening, or the characters clowning around or running through the city.

I remember all the fuss about Action! because of the cursing. It was bleeped out but they wrote it into script and filmed it. There were op-ed pieces about the declining standards of network tv and how this was “the end” of decency 😂

I remember seeing the names of these in the TV listings but never caring enough to figure out what they were. I watched a handful of shows religiously but just didn't want to be bothered with new stuff. The UPN stuff I vaguely recall because of commercials during Star Trek: Voyager. Pretty sure my little brother got into Now and Again though.

NPH looks exactly like his Barney character from HIMYM 😂

The only thing I remember from Shasta Mcnasty was a tie-in promotion with WWF Smackdown and occasionally were onscreen with wrestlers.

Most of these seem great. It sometimes feels like networks, fox in particular, wanted to kill the "edgy" vibe of the 90s and would cancel shows that pushed the envelope for the slightest of reasons.
