We will always need some form of money. Hopefully it won't be a government currency for long, but there will always be value and we will always want more than we can produce.

In Star Trek there is a limited supply of space ships, so who owns that ship? who gets to pilot it? who leads the missions?
Who gets the Malibu Penthouse and who gets the city dwelling without much light?

I fully agree that soon we will not need money for basic needs and everyone will have shelter, food, health care, education etc, but we always have a bigger vision than we can fulfil and therefore need more resources. And we need a way to decide who has claim of the resources.

The vision of a Post-Scarcity world is teary-eyed beautiful to contemplate. Preventing the vacuous yet vociferous horde of troglodytes from sabotaging our future is going to be a hurdle not easily overcome i'm afraid.

Might I suggest turning down the sound effects. Birds are nice, but they get annoying *real* quick.
