The inside shark tank that Jimmy Humilde, the CEO of Rancho Humilde Records, is adding to his lavish home, is almost finished. He is constructing this extension on a quiet, hedge-lined block in Downey, a rich suburb of southeast Los Angeles that is now predominately Latino. The aquarium stands at the bottom of a white marble staircase and will soon house a leopard shark and a grey shark. It is topped by a painted fresco with cherubs and a lone eagle soaring over fluffy clouds. The eagle is a tribute to Humilde's late father.
