8K Vlogging Cameras 2019: First Affordable 8K Cameras!

The world's first affordable 8K camera was recently announced at CES! Surprisingly, this prototype micro four thirds 8k camera with a flippy screen is made by Sharp - yeah the company that makes 8K televisions. Sharp rep said the specifications and details for this new 8K vlogging camera will be released at the NAB show 2019. This camera is intended to be used by vloggers and youtubers, as well as professional cinematographers. Canon also recently announced its plan to make a full frame mirrorless 8K camera for consumers, and then later on for professionals. One could expect it to be a similar design to that of the Canon EOS R, a recent 4K mirrorless camera released by Canon.

I love the idea of 8K --the only thing it does on YouTUBE is maybe future proof you videos but YouTUBE doesn't fully support the function 8K so not sure it worth the squeeze as exciting as it is. Their compression codec just destroys the quality. Sadly, reality sets in 🥺
