Where in the Zelda timeline is this game? Does this take place in the timeline where Link doesn't get a perfect score when crossbow training?

You know, this seems like it would have done really well in the U.S. if they just did some sprite editing and sold it off as a Wario game. Just swap the Rupees for Coins, and keep the color scheme for the denominations. People would think that the color thing was just a shout-out to Legend of Zelda or something. Or they could keep the Rupees and use the "Wario was sent to another world" thing that they've used for the different Wario Land games, just claiming that this world uses a different currency.

You could even mess with the endings a bit, where the bad ending shows Wario taking his stash home only to realize that there's either no currency exchange, or it's so bad that he went on the entire adventure for enough cash to buy a cup of coffee. The good ending would be that he decides to stay in that world until he's spent his fortune and is ready to head out to find more.
