the 1TB has a matte black left side and dark eject button vs the 500GB which has a shiny left and bronze looking eject button.

That Xbox One did undergo a cosmetic change. It's not the same as the Day One Edition and earlier units. They removed the glossy half on top of the Xbox One and replaced it with a beautiful matte finish. That's a nice pretty sizeable difference when considering fingerprints and dust.

I believe this one has a matte finish in the top, instead of it being glossy. I still prefer my white Xbox One though.

This console looks a lot nicer now they have swapped the matte finish to the left side and gloss finish to the fan grill, also a lot slicker with the fully black slot bezel as oppose to the silver one on the 500gb version

The new controller difference is the 3.5 mm headphone jack, wireless controller updates, and better triggers and the difference with the console is the matte finish and gloss switched places also xbox is awesome I got the original one with Kinect

But the console is changed a bit. The top left is no longer a piano gloss but is now a Matt black and the top right where the fan vents are located were Matt before but are now gloss and the chrome around the disc slot has been replaced with black finish.

Im a ps4 guy but i wouldnt say that its ugly. Im mean yeah, its a big black brick but a pretty sleek one.

The design is not exactly the same. The 1TB Xbox One has a matte finish on the top which helps with less scratches and fingerprints compared to the gloss finish. I got the launch Xbox One with a external 2TB hard drive.
