That scene with Serena and Alanis was priceless. Serena realized once again she was looking in the mirror of how she treated Offred/June as a handmaid. Serena saving grace is she truly loves children and Alanis thinks of children as a politically advantageous accessory.

The handmaid's tale is a tricky thing for me. I'm heavily invested in the plot, but the subject matter is honestly way too fucking triggering for me, so I've been living vicariously through the recaps and discussions of it. So thank you for your effort, it allows me to enjoy this show in my wierd way.

I love this episode! Especially Serena finally getting slapped, she 💯 deserved that, after how she treated the enslaved women in her household in Gilead. I really hope she gets to escape with her baby, though. He deserves to be with his mother. I just hope this whole experience humbles Serena to her core.

I was torn between feeling sorry for Serena & finding pleasure in seeing her being abused. I did want her to cuss that lady out though like “heffa this is my baby. I don’t know who the f you think you are”

Did I miss the scene where Mr. Wheeler lovingly holds and kisses Noah? Who is it in chez Wheeler that REALLY wants a baby? And WHY?
Alanis Wheeler seems more focused on parading "her" child before the other childless wives than in actually mothering him, and her primary interest is pushing Serena out of the picture before her husband can start planning a ritual rape ceremony.
