I live in the US, but always enjoy the Aussie view of the world. Thank you for what I think is the best overview of the NY International Auto Show on YouTube. Great job, as always, Chasing Cars.

Good to see the auto industry is totally detached from reality. These cars are just getting more expensive and ridiculous.

A great insight. Thank you. I remember as a teenager in the mid 80’s to 91 and further, just loving going to all new car shows and also the older ones where I’d spend hours polishing and preparing 1 of 6 Lincoln Continentals 1966, with Fords largest production V8 at 462 cubic inches with the standard rear suicide doors.

The Genesis booth was so fun. Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis were the stars of this year's show. The lamest booth is Infiniti, even though they have the new QX80. Hyundai even had their very own track on the showroom floor where you can have a joyride in their EVs. Genesis and Hyundai had these comfy lounges to hangout, free coffee, and get to play Gran Turismo 7. The new Magma models also attracted a lot of people.

Headline should be "New cars important to Americans"😂

Australia needs its own proper auto show(s). Sydney's Concours D'Elegance is way too small and way too expensive. I attended the one in Cernobbio and it was much cheaper. Maybe Chasing Cars could create/develop a car show?

I've gone yearly to the NY auto car show, and since covid it sucks.
Where was, BMW, Lincoln, Cadillac, Mitsubishi, Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Tesla, and more.

There wasn’t a new 2025/26 Honda Prelude on display?

It's a great video, but seeing all the cars that won't be coming to Australia is a bit frustrating.

Nice work, Tom. Some great cars showcased. Although, i fear if i ever bought a magma, id have to call it 'liquid hot magma' in the Dr. Evil voice every time it was referenced in conversation. Not a problem for me, but probably would be for everyone else.

Glad to see the automotive industries doing their part in saving the environment with these. Buy more, buy bigger. There is no such thing as a massive environmentally friendly car, even if it's electric. Materials need to come from somewhere, and so does energy

Wish the powers that be would bring back Motor Vehicle Exhibition at the ICC at Darling Harbour-Sydney.

Toyota needs to FINALLY update their RAV-4. Then, it will be a beast.

The US car buyer is missing out on so many great Chinese models like the BYD Seal, MG Cyberster and others from X-Peng, Chery, Nio, Geely and Seres.

“Hyundai doesn’t want to bring in a Ute that’s based on a car”. Don’t they realise that utes were originally converted cars in this part of the world? I grew up with Holden and Falcon Utes and much prefer the car-like drive they give when compared to a vibrating diesel ‘mini-trucks’ like the Ranger and Hilux.

I found not one car appealing..i like more small suvs and small hatchbacks we have here in Australia. You can already see who here is going to buy those big cars and basically cut everyone off on the roads and also park like a shopping centres 😂
