Would be interesting if skipping chapters in the future would have unique dialog as you would be barging into Kris's life later then expected resulting in them being there ususl self up until the chapter you skipped too

Kris does like doing pranks, but isn't a bad person. It could mean he really wants to become the hero described by the Legend, alongside Susie and Ralsei.
So while the player is pacifist too, it seems we can work together to prevent the Roaring from happening.

Also in the snowgrave route, when you get to the "proceed" text the other option is always something like "sorry, I'll do the puzzle" implying that Kris really wanted to say that.

I actually got the jevilstail when my file was skipped to chapter 2. At the end of chapter 2 when you beat jevil on chapter 1 in the waterfall in ralsei’s castle you can find the jevilstail.

Honestly I don't really like having to unintentionally hurt others but Susie kind of makes it difficult and you can easily take one monster out in one turn if you target the top monster in every battle
