I love how their divots are so neat and orderly. Mine knock the earth out of orbit and look like a diamond mine expedition in South America.

I got fitted by Titleist in Oklahoma once. They had sent a semi truck and trailer to Edmonton for the U.S Senior open about a week and a half before the actual event. For two days they gave people a chance to get fitted. Irons, hybrids, FW woods, driver wedges, putter and even the type of ball for differing conditions you may face. Those clubs changed the game of golf for me personally. I went from 200-yard drives to 260 carries. I went with 6.0 rifle shafts even though I gave up a couple yards overall when my dispersion tightened up into a very small circle. I ended up with forged muscle backs and got an incredible penetrating ball flight. The rifle shafts have differing kick points (where on the shaft that the bending starts at). With shorter clubs where the speeds being generated are lower, a lowered kick point resulted in a lower trajectory with a lot more spin. But with my long irons where the kick point was moved higher, I started hitting towering shots with a 2, 3, and my 4 irons. Prior to this, I had a lot of trouble getting the ball up so to take advantage of the ball speed. Meaning a lot of loss of carrying distance. I usually hit a 3, 4, and 5 iron almost the same distances. Suddenly I experienced variances of about 12-15 yards between clubs. I went from about 189 yards with a 3 iron to almost 210 carries. And I could hit a two iron into the air consistently for the first time. My FW woods I decreased the shaft length an inch, and my dispersion rate tightened up an incredible amount. My driver, I dropped down to a softer shaft and started hitting towering draws because I felt I could swing easier and get more snap at the bottom of my swing. That day changed the feel for me, the reliability become more intense, and my self-confidence I was experiencing was exciting to say the least. Over time I have gone from a 14 handicap to now having a 2.9. It changed my golfing life, to be frank. It didn't change my swing so much as it showed me that what I had was useful, long enough and I didn't need to always be looking for that magic move. When they shortened my putter length and got me more over the ball, it allowed me to let the loft of the putter to elevate the ball to start the roll. You have to put a gun to my head to ever take that putter away from me. Once I learned not to pop at long putts, I started getting more and more one-putts, and fewer three-putts. Learning how to utilize the bounce on select shots, that gave me some of the elusive short game I have always lacked. I am better, certainly, but I am still not quite there. But I hover around a 2-3 cap now. and I truly believe that getting fitted properly was my real start of playing golf. Even after having flailed away for close to 10 years prior. If and when I consider new clubs, a proper fitting into any new components will be the only way I would ever again consider buying any set of sticks.

New guy here and loved the video. Marco and Mike were right. You've got some great material and this vid rocks. Equipment is still out of my reach tho. I wish the industry would accept the fact we all can't afford a set of clubs for a stack. Thanks guys.

I’ve kinda been a Taylor made “fanboy” you could say for some time now used almost nothing but Taylor made clubs for a number of years but I’ve recently been testing titleist irons, rescues, fairways and drivers pretty much like you guys did in this video and HOLY CRAP I’ve noticed a major difference in my game using titleist clubs non fitted over many other brands without being fitted. I can only imagine how I will play once I have the money for a whole bag fitting. Great vid guys just subscribed as well👍

the best part of trying a club is being confident in your swing. when you know your swing well you can hit almost any club (unless it’s something out of this world)

Talking about yardage gains with ap3 vs ap2 - there is a 3 degree difference between them, so an ap3 7 iron is only one 1 degree weaker than an ap2 6 iron. It's great for looking down at the number 7 on the club and thinking, holy shit, I'm hitting this miles, but in actual fact you're hitting a 6 iron. Buy a set of ap3's with a 43 degree PW and you've just got to add a second gap wedge in there at around 48 degrees. I honestly can't believe people are still falling for these cranked lofts.

How are the lofts not something this fitter is even talking about!? Going on about the 5-7 yards more distance with the ap3 over the ap2 being a such a positive when you're essentially comparing a 6 iron to a 7 iron. Fitters lose all credibility when they do shit like this.

The swing is the most important thing regargless what custom clubs you have. Bad Swing = Bag Golf Game
