I unironically thought the ending of the movie was beautiful. While everyone else on the planet was clamouring to find the best way to spend the last moments of their lives Mindy, Kate and the rest of the family acknowledge that true fulfilment is found in accepting the reality of life's transience and futility. Over a simple family dinner they show how, regardless of their fears and uncertainties, it is compassion, forgiveness and an appreciation for the supposedly insignificant things that provide meaning when you're time is being spent with people who love you and accept you as you are.

Really liked this movie. A good caricature of society where people at the top who would sell their soul for a couple more millions manipulate people at the bottom to the point where they refuse to accept facts that they can see with their own eyes. The finals words "We really did have everything didn't we?" wrap up the whole movie perfectly. Most people in developed countries haven't known a day of hunger or cold in their lives and yet we keep destroying the planet so we can add more and more pointless crap to our shelves and buy bigger houses with rooms we don't even use..
